Our Endorsement Process

Virginia LCV serves as the political voice of Virginia’s conservation community and seeks to elect conservation candidates to state and statewide offices. The first step in this process is the completion of a candidate questionnaire. This is followed with an interview with staff, and members of our Board of Directors, who make final decisions on Virginia LCV’s endorsements.

We are in the process of updating our candidate questionnaire for the next legislative cycle in 2027. We expect to finalize this questionnaire following the 2027 legislative session. Candidates who may be running in a special election in 2026 should refer to our 2025 questionnaire.
